Google Cardboard Case Study – Australian University Showcases VR For Prospective Students

Virtual reality has never been so easy. Since Google Cardboard was introduced at Google I/O 2014, we have seen a wide range of innovative apps flood the market that showcases the infinite possibilities of virtual reality.

One recent innovative use of Google Cardboard comes from an innovative Australian university. The Queensland University of Technology (QUT), based in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD, recently joined forces with the BCM agency to produce QUT Global Goggles, a virtual reality experience app that showcases a 360 degree view of the Brisbane skyline immersed with world famous landmarks such as Big Ben, Taj Mahal and the Statue of Liberty.

The project was designed to position the university as a forward thinking tertiary institution and to inspire prospective students who were attending QUT Open Day 2015.
